Home Lands - Land Marks

David Goldblatt Home Lands - Land Marks
Haunch of Venison

31 May – 5 July, 2008

Home Lands - Land Marks is a poignant and visceral exhibition, opening just days after a wave of violence in Johannesburg brought the country’s social problems under the spotlight once again.

Thousands of Zimbabweans, who fled to Johannesburg in search of refuge are now being forced back to their homeland to withstand the threats once more. This continuous chain of displacement, the individual and the mass movement between hostile environments, is acutely encapsulated in this exhibition curated by Tama Garb.

Shattered Dreams

Iraq - The Space BetweenJudah Passow’s striking black and white photographs are more than a record of conflict and turmoil. They are the result of a personal journey over the past 25 years, to a place full of shattered dreams which cross boundaries of culture and time.

The Memory of Pablo Escobar

pablo escobarJames Mollison comprehensively researched, this photographic biography of the world's most renown drug barron. The result is a compelling picture novel, a landmark in visual journalism, that drawns uniquely on personal photographs sourced from Escobar's associates and friends as well as public archives and collections to piece together the mythology and methods of the elusive man himself.
