World Press Photo invites press photographers and photojournalists throughout the world to enter the 2009/52nd World Press Photo Contest online. The deadline for uploading entries is 15 January 2009. The web entry site can be accessed via: www.worldpressphoto.org/contest.
Participants need to get a login to enter the competition before 9 January but can continue to upload and edit their submission until 15 January 2009. Previous usernames and passwords are not valid for the 2009 contest. The web entry is easy to use and available in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
Judging
From 31 January until 12 February 2009 a panel of 13 recognized international experts in the field of press photography will be judging the entries at the World Press Photo office in Amsterdam. The members of the 2009 jury are:
