![]() Marking the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Accord, HOST presents the first London showing of BOSNIANS by internationally acclaimed photographer Paul Lowe. Spanning more than a decade, BOSNIANS is an intimate, highly personal study of the reconstruction of a the people and their nation. In Bosnia from the beginning of the conflict in 1992, Paul Lowe journeys through the devastated cities of Sarajevo, Srebrenica, Gorazde and Mostar. But Lowe’s relationship with the country endures far beyond the conflict. His stunning black and white photographs capture life rising from catastrophe, as Bosnians survive, mourn and move forward. Lovers, refugees reclaiming their homes, children, old men and fashionable youth populate this work, as do snowy fields, rebuilt bridges and parties. Panos photographer Paul Lowe divides his time between Sarajevo and London. Preview a selection of images from this exhibition Pictures from the hanging and opening night
